In today's competitive global information-based economy, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has become the fastest growing subject in the world. Its relevance in the field of education generally and curriculum in particular cannot be overemphasized. ICT usage has enhanced the quality of education by increasing learners' motivation and engagement, thus facilitating the acquisition of basic skills and teaching effectiveness. Through ICT, research in education is easily accomplished and instructional presentation has been made much easier. Despite these benefits, the teacher who is the key player in the implementation of ICT curriculum is greatly handicapped. This paper examines the relevance of ICT in curriculum implementation, some challenges faced by the teachers in acquiring knowledge and skills necessary for ICT compliance.
