The University of Cross River will today co-host one of the largest social impact summit of the Hultprize Foundation. Billed to take part in the competition is Team DC Stove which is representing the institution at the competition.
The event which involves over 300 student entrepreneurs drawn across the globe will see them pitch their business ideas for $1M. The winner of the regional stage will automatically get entry into the accelerator stage that will happen in the United States of America having the CEO of hultprize Ahmad Ashkar, Bill Clinyon, the 42nd United States president at the United Nations Headquarter in New York.
UNICROSS has overtime proven to be among Universities in Nigeria creating impacts and raising innovative student.
Live performances by notable Nigerian artistes, the Vice chancellor of the university and the Global team of Hultprize Foundation will be present during the event which is scheduled to take place at 9: am on Zoom.

Think Hana, one of the top three teams who got accepted into the Hultprize Foundation social impact competition will be competing today with universities across the globe for the $1M seed funding. The team will represent UNICROSS in Lusaka Zambia, during this competition.
Members of the team are
- Eya, Uyomi Oke
- Amanso, Victoria Eyo
- Obo and Arise Agbor.
All of them are 500 level Civil Engineering students. All regional competitions will be streamed online, via Zoom.
Other UNICROSS teams in the competition are DC stove and Organic Farm. DC stove will be competing on Saturday April 17th while Organic Farm is scheduled to compete on Saturday, May 1st 2021.
