  • ABOUT JUPEB
    The Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) is a national examinations body approved by the Federal Government of Nigeria in December 2013. It was formally established in April 2014 by a consortium of ten (10) partnering universities led by the University of Lagos.
    The board has the responsibility of conducting common and standard examinations for the candidates, who have been exposed to a minimum of one-year approved courses in the different Universities’ Foundation and/or Diploma Programmes and are seeking Direct Entry admissions into University courses at the 200 Level in Nigerian and partnering foreign universities.
    The first of such examinations was conducted in August 2014 and successful candidates were admitted into 200 Level by JAMB based on recommendations from the universities.
    With effect from 2015, JUPEB Examinations will hold in June annually.

  • 2020/2021 JUPEB CRUTECH ADMISSION EXERCISE

     It is hereby announced for the information of prospective Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) candidates (Those who wrote JAMB, and those who did not) that the Online Registration for admissions into the 2020/2021 Academic Session has commenced on 26th of August, 2020.
     
    To access the Online Application Form, candidates are required to pay the sum of Twelve thousand Naira (N12, 000.00), Registration Fee, payable online in any commercial bank to the following accounts.

    ADMISSIONS INSTRUCTIONS
    • Admission into a JUPEB Programme accepts every eligible candidate that has written or has not written JAMB.
    • Before clicking on the Admission Form link, and proceeding with the registrations, candidates must ensure that they have the following credentials ready.

    i. At least 5 credits including (English Language) from WAEC, NECO, NATECH, GEC LONDON Etc.
    ii. All grades stated should be a Maximum Number of 2 settings.
    iii. Pay the sum of twelve thousand Naira (12,000) into the accounts specified above.

    • Teller Numbers must be filled into the form during your registration. The Teller number must be verified from our end, or your admission process will not be successful.

    PROCEDURE FOR REGISTRATION 
    To register, applicants should: 
    • Log on to crutech.edu.ng and click on the JUPEB REGISTRATION LINK at the top RIGHT of the website.
    • Follow the instructions on the Online Application Portal to complete the form.
    • Submit the form for a successful registration.
     
     
    All Admissions are done online, candidates are therefore expected to understand the information above.

    Candidates are not required to appear physically for the admission process and therefore not expected to travel to Calabar.

    How do I register for the JUPEB programme? 
    You are to visit any of the JUPEB approved university centres listed on the JUPEB website to register for the programme.
    Can I register for JUPEB in a tutorial centre? 
     No, you only register for JUPEB lectures and examinations in one of the university accredited centres. Click here for more information.
    How long does it take to complete the JUPEB Programme? 
    The programme is normally for a duration of one academic session.
    Where will I receive lectures for JUPEB programme? 
     You will receive lectures in the university centre where you registered for the programme.
    Where can I get the syllabus for JUPEB examination? 
     You can get the syllabus from the University you registered with.
    When is the JUPEB examination written? 
     The Examination is written in June every year.
    Can I register for JUPEB exam directly at the JUPEB office? 
     No, all candidates for JUPEB examinations are expected to register through the university centre where they are receiving lectures.
    Where is the JUPEB examination written? 
    The Examination is written in the JUPEB approved university centres nationwide.
    When are the JUPEB examination results released? 
    The results are released in August every year.
    When the JUPEB examination result is out, will it be sent to every candidate? 
     Results are released to the university centres and candidates are to collect their statement of results from their university centres.
    Can I view and print my result online? 
     Results are available on the JUPEB website 3 months after it has been released.
    How are the JUPEB examination results graded? 
     A= 5 points, B= 4 points, C= 3 points, D= 2 points, E= 1 point, F= 0 point (failed grade).
    1 additional point is added when a candidate scores A, B, C, D or E in all the three subjects e.g. a candidate with B, D, C has 10 points.
    If I pass the JUPEB examination, what is my entry point into the university? 
    A candidate who passes JUPEB examination is given a direct entry admission into 200 level in a Nigerian University.
    Do I have to obtain a Direct Entry Form from JAMB to process my admission if I want to use the JUPEB results? 
     Yes.
    Can I obtain a Direct Entry Form from JAMB the same year I write the JUPEB examination? 
     Yes.
    Can I gain Direct Entry admission into a university different from the university where I registered for JUPEB? 
    Yes, provided that: 
          i.        The university accepts JUPEB results
       ii.        You meet up with the University’s cut-off point for your choice course of study
    Is the JUPEB result accepted in universities outside Nigeria? 
    Yes.
    Where can I get my JUPEB certificate? 
    From the university centre where you registered for the examination.
    How long can I use the JUPEB result for admission? 
    The JUPEB result is tenable within (3) three admission years i.e. if the examination is written in 20X0, it is usable for 20X0, 20XI & 20X2. However, the JUPEB certificate remains a valid document for a life time.
    Can I write the JUPEB examination more than once?  
    Yes, if a candidate does not make the desired grades in the examination, he/she can rewrite the examination in another year.
    Can I combine two JUPEB Examination results for admission? 
    No.
    Does JUPEB give transcript?  
    No, JUPEB only gives certificates.
    Can my JUPEB result be sent to other institutions?

    How can I send my result from JUPEB to a university outside Nigeria?

    Who gets permission to run the JUPEB programme? 
    Only the National Universities Commission (NUC) approved universities are permitted to run the JUPEB progamme after such university has been duly affiliated to JUPEB.
    Are tutorial centres allowed to run JUPEB programme?  
    Tutorial centres are not allowed to run JUPEB programme. 
    Tutorial centres advertising JUPEB are not registered by JUPEB and therefore cannot legally register any candidate for examinations.
    How can a university get approval to run the JUPEB programme?  
    The Vice-Chancellor of the university will send a letter requesting for affiliation with JUPEB to the Registrar/Chief Executive Officer.
    Where can I obtain past questions on JUPEB examinations for practice?  
    Student should contact the JUPEB Centre Director of their university centre where he/she has registered.

    How can I know some of the fake JUPEB centres? 
    Any signage advertising JUPEB classes outside a University if fake.
